What Matters Most to God and to Awana?
Young people hold a special place in Jesus? heart. He created them. He
sacrificed His life for their sins. He longs for them to know, love and
serve Him. He desires to spend eternity with them. His kingdom belongs
to such as these.
That?s why kids matter so deeply to Awana. As a worldwide ministry, we
believe that Jesus is the answer to every child?s needs, particularly
for salvation. Awana programs and materials have been carefully crafted
to help churches clearly and consistently communicate the good news of
Christ and His plan for their lives, as expressed in His Word, each week
of the Awana year, and to build a biblical foundation that helps them
follow Christ through adulthood.
AWANA Clubs are Loaded with Exciting Activities!!!
Since 1950, churches have been using Awana to reach out to the youth in
their communities. The International Headquarters is in Streamwood,
Illinois, USA.
Three segments provide start-to-finish adventure in every club
meeting! Each has a purpose.
Game Time: Every Awana Club meeting starts off in high gear,
with team and individual competition. Game Time unleashes kids? natural
energy and enthusiasm. Everyone participates.
Handbook Time: Using achievement-oriented curriculum materials,
Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses.
Clubbers progress through handbooks, working alongside a trained leader.
Council Time: The whole club gathers for a Bible message,
singing, and announcements of upcoming events. One highlight of Council
Time is the presentation of awards for individual handbook progress and
team competition |
